2015 Lamborghini Huracan and Aventador Showcased at Special U.S. Events

U.S. drivers will have the chance to experience the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 and Aventador LP700-4 at special instructional events in Aspen, February 6-8, and later in the year at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

According to Lamborghini, the 2015 Lamborghini Esperienza, as it's called, is "designed to allow both drivers enjoying a first taste of Lamborghini to those already experienced on track, to enjoy the brand and the super sports cars from Sant'Agata Bolognese."

The Winter Accademia in Aspen concentrates on snow and ice driving, while the Track Accademia offers fans the chance to take one of the supercars out on a racetrack. Both consist of two programs, intensive and advanced, each with multiple training sessions during which drivers learn through exercises in slaloms, acceleration, braking and oversteering.

Each Accademia is open to a maximum of 24 participants for the intensive course and 16 for the advanced course. Drivers are divided into small groups to further personalize the instruction.

Altogether, the Lamborghini Esperienza will visit four continents in 2015: Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. The company says that so far more than 2,000 people have signed up for the program worldwide.

"We are very pleased to extend our Accademia and Esperienza program so significantly this year. It is proof of the growing interest in Lamborghini's super sports cars, among existing and potential customers from all over the world," said Giorgio Sanna, Lamborghini's motorsport coordinator, in a statement. "These courses offer all participants, whatever their driving experience and their familiarity with Lamborghini, to enjoy our brand and experience our cars."

The announcement of the latest Esperienza events comes just as Lamborghini has introduced a new limited-edition model, the 2015 Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition, created to celebrate the automaker's long association with Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli.

Available in both coupe and roadster variations, the special edition sports all the technical attributes of the standard Aventador, including the 700-horsepower V12 engine, all-wheel drive and high-performance suspension.

The Pirelli models offer a choice of two exterior color schemes, one with matte black trim and gloss paint, and the other with gloss black trim and contrasting matte paint. Both are available in several colors.

The exterior is further enhanced with thin red stripes that run along the roof, engine cover, rearview mirrors and air intakes. A red Pirelli logo appears on the roof lines and on the Pirelli P Zero tires.

The seats are upholstered with black Alcantara with red contrast stitching, and the red body stripe and Pirelli logo are repeated inside as well. A "Pirelli Special Series" plaque underscores the limited-production nature of this unique model.

Lamborghini has not announced pricing for the 2015 Aventador LP700-4 Pirelli Edition, but the company says that dealers are accepting orders now, and delivery is scheduled for early summer.
