Chaya Closing December 31 After 30 Years in Beverly Hills...

Chaya Brasserie,which served a rather creative and forward-thinking menu of French-Asian fare in Beverly Hills for nearly thirty years, is closing at the end of this month. From now until the 30th, executive chef Shigefumi Tachibe will be bringing back original dishes from the 1984 menu, including tuna tartare, grilled veal chop, and miso black bass with beurre blanc. On the 31st, they'll be throwing one final bash with passed hor d'oeuvres, unlimited dinner stations, open dessert bar and more for $65 per person.

Below is a letter from Chaya CEO Yuta Tsunoda about the closure:

For the past 30 years, Chaya Brasserie in Beverly Hills has been proud to serve the Los Angeles community with our Franco-Japanese cuisine, continuing the Tsunoda family tradition deeply rooted in Japan. Throughout the three decades of service, we've made many friends and great memories-for this, we could not be more grateful; our lives are forever changed through our experiences at Chaya Beverly Hills. It's with a heavy heart that we announce Chaya Brasserie in Beverly Hills' last day of service will be December 31, 2014.

During the final weeks, we'll be celebrating Chaya Brasserie's legacy by featuring our original 1984 menu at Beverly Hills. We hope you can join us.

On behalf of the Chaya family, team, and myself, we would like to thank all our supporters throughout the years-those who have graced our tables, supported our causes, and made our family tradition their own-and to our talented kitchen team, servers, dishwashers, bussers, hosts, and managers. We've been fortunate enough to have bartenders, team members, and servers who have stayed with us since day one and contributed to the Chaya legacy.

As the future and location Chaya Brasserie is to be determined, we will remain focused on continued growth. As always, we're looking for future locations within the Chaya Restaurant Group and continue to operate our locations in Venice, Downtown LA, San Francisco, and at LAX, in addition to our M Café stores in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood.
