Whilst the
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge milks the limelight, its less curvy sibling
stands stoic in its shadow as it looks on with an expression of
barely-visible-but-all-consuming envy.
The
Galaxy S6, understandably, doesn’t appear to have generated as much
interest as the Edge – its identikit design just isn’t as glamorous. But
it is basically the same smartphone, with many of the same bits and
bobs – just with a less-bent display and no bent-display extras.
So
what can you expect from Samsung’s less interesting flagship? Is it
worth impoverishing yourself for? Over the next five reasons – and a few
cons – I’ll explore how purchase-worthy the Samsung Galaxy S6 is, which
will – hopefully – leave you slightly more informed.

The
non-curved nature of the Galaxy S6 display might not be a positive
reason in itself, or perhaps it is? People might see the Edge’s curves
as a gimmick, impractical or just not particularly exciting. Maybe
smartphone luddites have dropped anchor in 2013 and refuse to engage
with the needless innovation of these non-standard screens?
