Driveclub Loses Half Its Developmental Staff, Gets New Gameplay Trailers For Lamborghini DLC Two new Driveclub gameplay trailers debuted over the weekend, giving fans one final glimpse of two cars from the game's upcoming Lamborghini Expansion Pack. However, some pretty heavy news is coming out of Driveclub developer Evolution Studios, too. Last week, Eurogamer broke the news Sony would be conducting a round of layoffs at Evolution Studios, the game development studio behind Driveclub. At the time it wasn't clear just how many Evolution employees would be let go by their employer but a new update from Eurogamer suggests Sony is making major cuts at the Runcorn, UK-based studio. In total, 55 employees will apparently no longer report to Evolution Studios on a daily basis, including a number of what were considered to be permanent staff. Contractors are being let-go as well; however, there's currently no word on what percentage of the cuts will affect each group. While we don't have an exact head count for Evolution, today's report suggests the layoffs will cut the studio's staff in half. "Evolution Studios will now focus on Driveclub as a service going forward," Sony told Eurogamer, in a written statement provided to the outlet last week. "We will be looking to relocate team members throughout the studios, but unfortunately some redundancies will be necessary."
